I first visited Albarella when I was 15 with my parents. 38 years later I still come here now with my family. It is one of the few places where you can still enjoy stressfree vacation.
spend pretty much all my vacations there from 1982 untill 2012. great memories! write me if you grew up there in that timeframe...we might have met
It is a lovely island, ideal for family holidays. Almost no cars on the island and one can walk about carefree. However, it is to avoid if you are not a confident driver. The only road that connects the mainland to the island is a very narrow over water road where locals are driving erratically and dangerously. I've seen cars nearly knocking off the road other cars while overtaking them. The customer service is ok, but leaves room for improvement.
The good safe vacation place for a family with small children. A little bit expensive for Italy. The beach is big and clean but the sea isn't what you would expect from the sea side...shallow water and too warm.
It is a beautiful and relaxing island.
Be careful though when withdrawing money at the ATMs.
I withdrew 200 Euro with my German Visa card and the machine charged me 7,90 Euro commission - without warning.
A wonderful place, too bad that it is ruined by a terrible customer service. Information office seems to have no idea of what is going on.
Nice Spot!
Lovely place to go on holiday with the family
